Special Cables
400 Hz cables are mainly used to supply power to aircrafts (onboard power). May be operated in mobile, stationary or underground mode. Simple, long-lasting and easy to install design with a fair market price and great quality.
Design
This product consists of:
- 1Bare copper conductors, fine wires class 5 according to DIN EN 60228 / VDE 0295 / IEC 60228
- 2Power supply control cores insulation of special cold resistant mixture of polyvinyl chloride (PVC); control cores of special compound based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
- 3Power supply cores (black with No. 1-6) stranded over central core (blue) with 6 star-quads in the interstices
- 4Non-woven tape separation
- 5Outer sheath of special cold resistant compound based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), colour: black (RAL 9005)

Test Voltage: 4000 V / 50 Hz
Rated Voltage: 0.6/1 kV (Uo/U)
Bending radius (min.): 5 x Ø of cable
Fire properties: EN 60332-1-2: self-extinguishing and flame retardant
Core identification: Central blue core, other cores black (continuously numbered)
Temperature range:
- Fixed installation: -40°C up to 70°C
- Flexible use: -15°C up to 70°C
